Register Your Ancestor Access the Database

The Boer War Memorial Descendant Database Project permits descendants of those who served in South Africa to register the details of their ancestor's service with the Boer War Memorial Committee, and have those details along with those of their descendants (if desired) on this website. Please note that this is an Australian descendants database. If you or your ancestor call or called Australia home, please feel free to register.

Simply activate the button below left and fill out the form that appears, when you have submitted the form, you will be instructed on sending supporting photographs and documentation (if available) to be included with the listing.  Should you have difficulty completing the process, please contact the webmaster.  You will find the links you need to search for your ancestor's war service on our Ancestor Search page

If you are a descendant, and wish your name added to an existing registration; and expand information held, please use the button below right.

An Apology

Please note that due to the number of ancestor registrations received in the past year (March 2012 – to date), the workload to load to the internet has expanded exponentially. The service level of two weeks is currently unachievable.  All registrations are queued and dealt with in sequence (current backlog is 26, currently processing registrations received on 3 May 2013). Note that failure to have a descendant registration published will not have an impact on the right to order a Descendent Medallion.

Any inconvenience is regretted.
